PRESIDENT BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Rome, in a clinic in the Parioli district, to a mother who was a teacher of literature originally from San Lorenzo a Pinaco, a hamlet of Amatrice in the province of Rieti, and a father who was a Carabiniere from Soveria Mannelli, in the province of Catanzaro; he grew up in Ciampino, then a hamlet of the municipality of Marino, and as a boy he played football as goalkeeper in ASD Amatrice Calcio. A graduate of the Liceo Classico Statale 'Ugo Foscolo' in Albano Laziale, he obtained a degree in pedagogy from La Sapienza University with top marks and also worked as a freelance journalist at Il Tempo before entering the business world; he lives in the Villa San Sebastiano (Appia Antica, Rome), which has become his headquarters and the site of his offices.
He has been married for many years to Cristina Mezzaroma, daughter of Gianni, a member of an important family of Roman building contractors; the two have a son named Enrico.
He owns a cleaning company, 'S.n.a.m. Lazio Sud', two service companies ('Bona Dea' and 'Linda'), a catering company ('Omnia Service'), another thermo-management company ('Gasoltermica Laurentina') and a private security agency ('Roma Union Security'), as well as being a partner in two real estate companies. At the end of the First Republic, his companies obtained most of their turnover from contracts from local authorities and publicly controlled companies: the region, the province, the municipality, local health units, hospitals
